Our Story – A Sanctuary Crafted by Nature's Finest

n 1980, I bought this heavenly piece of land in Bodimettu, nestled near my plantation, envisioning a peaceful retreat for my retirement. As an advocate, then a judge by profession, and a planter by passion, my life was filled with intense responsibilities. Yet, every time I stepped onto this land, I felt an unexplainable calm, a healing power that rejuvenated my spirit. It was as if nature itself was whispering to me, restoring my strength to face life’s battles.

Upon retirement, I planned to build a home here. But one day, standing on this land with my architect, an inner voice stopped me—a voice I believe was nature or the Almighty speaking. It said, “This place is not just for you; it must be shared with others who seek peace, who long for nature’s embrace, who need to heal.” That moment changed everything.

In 2011, the journey of Shola Crown began. With no prior experience in hospitality, I faced countless challenges, doubts from loved ones, and the reality of building a resort in one of Kerala’s most remote villages. Many warned me, “No one knows Bodimettu. This is a risk.” But I never doubted. I believed that if this place could heal me, it could heal others too. And so, with sheer determination and God’s grace, Shola Crown became a reality in 2017.
